A place full
of contrasts.
La Posada del Puente fuses history and contemporary, the proximity to the city and the calmness of nature, connectivity and disconnection.
A hotel with 40 years of experience is renewed to cater to the needs of the contemporary traveler, without losing the spirit of the place.
The Grau Bridge was built between 1884 and 1898 over the Chili River. The stone and sillar (volcanic sediment) edification was a monumental project for the late 18th century in Arequipa. It is underneath this patrimony that still connects the city and has great historic value, that La Posada del Puente stands for four decades.
The hotel is a ten-minute car ride from the airport and is located in the midst of two essential parts of town. On one side, just a walk away, the Historic Center with its main attractions: the arches of the beautiful Plaza de Armas (the main square); the impressive Santa Catalina Monastery complex; other examples of stately architecture, like the Recoleta Convent, the House of Tristan del Pozo and the Goyeneche Palace; and the Andean Sanctuaries Museum.
On the other side, the traditional quarter of Yanahuara is discovered. Known for its narrow and cobbled streets, and for its old colonial-style casonas made of sillar. In the heart of the neighborhood, one can find the main square, the church and the arches of the Yanahuara Viewpoint, with its amazing sight of the city and the Misti, Chachani and Pichu Pichu volcanos.
La Posada del Puente is also a starting point or a return for the many adventures offered by the city. From rafting down the Chili River to rock climbing in the Chilina Valley, or a full day trek through the sillas route (that reveals the volcanic stone quarries and the photogenic Culebrillas Canyon) and, of course, the Colca Canyon, a must-visit.

Restaurant
Local products with a current flavor. Comfort food based in local ingredients, in a menu designed by experienced chef Jana Escudero. The restaurant that has been part of the hotel renews its flavors but maintains the traditions that have made it into an obligatory culinary stop in Arequipa: the piano nights and the bonfire.
The experience of an inn that is already part of the city’s life.
